Email Blocking

Email Blocking is one of the security settings in the webpolls used to prevent cheating. When Email Blocking is enabled every user is prompted for their email address after voting. An confirmation email is then sent to this email address containing a link that will verify their vote. Once the link has been clicked, their vote will be counted.

Email blocking is a very secure option since it limits the vote to one per valid email address. There is still a possiblity that users may have access to multiple email addresses and attempt to vote from each. For best results, use with Cookie Blocking.
